Finally a photo.......

Boy, this is exhausting!!!!! After several tries I've registered with Flickr and finally managed to get a photo onto my blog. (Again with a little help of my friend/s) I hope you like this photo of 4 of our girls. We decided to let them out of their yard 2 weekends ago to see how they went. There was a bit of interest from our dogs and a few feathers flying but not as much as I thought. The chooks had a ball scratching around at the bottom of our garden. They love wondering jew( a weed) and I kept a keen eye on them to make sure didn't decide to scratch up my whole garden. They had another run last weekend as well and managed to get themselves back into their yard as it got later in the day. Alas I have to report one of the girls has been poorly and we don't hold much hope for her recovery. Last year we had a couple of "deaths in the family" Our good friend Kate who was studying Vet Science asked her lecturer about our sick chook at the time and he said it would probably we an egg laying problem and not much can be done!! Our sick girl is spending her days in their little house and not eating much. I feel pretty sorry for her. Our other chooks are happy enough though and we are still getting lots of eggs.
That's all for now, The Egg Collector.

That's a great photo of the chooks. I hope that your "girl" makes a good recovery.

Oops, for some reason my comment posted twice, so it just looked as though I was repeating myself. I then deleted one duplicate comment but it leaves the very stern comment "This post has been removed by the author".
Oh dear.
